In the war between Wu and Yue, Fu Chai ( played by Zheng Jiaying ) defeated the Kingdom of Yue with the help of Wu Zixu, but did not kill the King of Yue Gou Jian ( played by Xie Tianhua ) ; Gou Jian was imprisoned in Wu under the guidance of Fan Li ( played by Zhu Xiaotian ) , and won rebirth with a humble attitude. Xi Shi’s ( played by Ying Er ) father died on the battlefield, Fan Li rescued Xi Shi, and the two knew each other and fell in love. In order to help Gou Jian restore his country, Fan Li reluctantly gave Xi Shi to Wu. In order to fulfill Fan Li’s heroic ambition, Xi Shi entered the Wu Palace and gradually gained Fu Chai’s favor.
